Areas of focus

I have worked with clients on a wide variety of challenges. Some of these have included:

  • Grief and loss 

  • Trauma

  • Friendship challenges 

  • Recovery from family violence or bullying

  • Living with suicidal, self-harm thoughts

  • Anxiety - generalised and specific 

  • Building positive body image

  • Recovery from religious trauma 

  • Difficulties in the home or workplace 

  • Building self-care and self-compassion 

  • Increasing self-confidence, self-acceptance and self-worth

  • Difficulties with boundaries stemming from poor role modelling 

  • Navigating dating and relationships and disability/chronic illness

  • Relationship difficulties including communication, expectations, agreements and healing ruptures 

  • Exploring sexuality, attraction, gender and coming out 

  • Understanding one's neurodivergence and building tools and awareness 

  • Managing study and work as a neurodivergent person 

  • Managing challenging life chapters/transitions 

  • Open relationships, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, swinging and BDSM 

  • Recovery and exploring sexuality after trauma 

Exclusions

Every therapist will have areas of expertise that they work in according to their training and level of comfort and experience. Currently, I do not work with  personality disorders, eating disorders or dissociative disorders. I also do not provide family or couple therapy sessions. These areas are outside of my scope of expertise and training.
